Hi guys! I’m a 13-year-old boy, currently in ninth grade, living in Dubai. Originally, I’m from Pakistan, but I’ve been living in Dubai since 2020, which makes it five years now. From a very young age, I’ve been interested in fashion. Even as a little kid, I loved wearing clothes that I thought looked cool. Between 2019 and 2021, I used to wear very skinny clothes because I thought it was fashionable at the time. Looking back, I realize it didn’t really suit me, but at that moment, I enjoyed it and felt confident.
After living in Dubai for a year or two, I started noticing the diverse styles around me. Dubai is home to people from many countries and cultures—Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, White, Black, and many more. Seeing all these different styles helped me understand what real fashion is, and that’s when I discovered streetwear. For me, streetwear is not just a style; it’s a way to express personality, confidence, and individuality.
I started my journey in fashion and business not only because I love it, but also to make my parents proud and build a better life for my family. I want to provide my parents, siblings, and, one day, my future wife and kids with a good and healthy life—good homes, good food, and everything a person needs. To achieve this, I’ve learned and done a lot of things since coming to Dubai. My father has been a great teacher, giving me knowledge about life and business, while my mother has been my biggest supporter and my best friend.
Over the past five years, I’ve learned many skills. I help run my father’s construction and maintenance company, handling clients, quotes, documents, and understanding the business. Beyond that, I’ve explored blogging, AI tools, social media marketing, data analysis, graphic design, HTML coding, WordPress web design, and much more. All of this as a 13-year-old! I started learning these skills when I was just eight years old.
Despite loving streetwear, I haven’t been able to wear expensive streetwear myself because of budget limitations. That’s why I started my own streetwear store. Right now, the products I sell are collected from other websites, so the prices may not be the lowest, but this is how I’m starting my journey. My goal is to grow the store, and if I start receiving larger orders—like 10 or more pieces per item—I plan to work directly with factories and suppliers. When that happens, I will be able to offer the best prices in the market while keeping the quality high. This is my long-term vision, and for now, I’m focused on building my store and learning as much as I can along the way.
I built my website, thriftzones.com, by myself, and I manage everything with my own effort. The main goal of my store is not just sales, but to connect with people, share my passion for fashion, and get support from those who believe in me. If my store grows and receives enough orders, I aim to collaborate with factories and make my own designs, always providing the best possible quality at fair prices.
